Oat Coffee Brick Lane
About This Spot
Stepping into Oat Coffee Brick Lane feels like slipping into a gentle pause amid the vibrant hum of one of London’s most bustling streets. It’s a cozy little haven where the pace softens, inviting you to linger a while over thoughtfully brewed coffee and simple, comforting treats. The space carries a quiet charm — unpretentious yet carefully curated — that reflects the welcoming spirit of its team and the diverse crowd that finds respite here.
There’s a warmth in the air that comes not just from the steaming cups of coffee but from the mindful care lent to every interaction. Whether you’re settling down with a rich oat latte or warming your hands around a hot chocolate, the mood encourages a moment of genuine connection, be it with a friend seated beside you or a kind word exchanged with the baristas. It’s the kind of spot where you feel seen without fanfare, where friendly service meets subtle attention to detail.
The menu flows naturally onto your experience, with familiar favorites turned into cozy rituals — think doughy cookies that invite slow savoring, earthy matcha lattes that balance calm with energy, or a slice of pecan pie that unexpectedly softens a busy day. Seasonal touches and a blend of plant-based and classic options reflect how this café embraces both tradition and thoughtful modernity. It’s clear that each bite or sip is designed not just to satisfy but to invite you into a moment of comfort and simple joy.
Despite its modest footprint, Oat Coffee offers a surprising amount of seating, creating an intimate neighborhood nook where stories might unfold or quiet time can be stolen from the city rush. The ambience is casual yet purposeful — a place to pause, reset, or catch up on a book — all while soaking in the unique energy of Brick Lane just beyond its doors.
In a city where genuine human moments can sometimes feel fleeting, this coffee shop quietly crafts an experience that feels personal and grounded. It’s a place that welcomes you early and thanks you warmly, leaving you with that rare and easy feeling of having truly found a small corner of belonging in a sprawling urban mosaic.

Lovely little cafe! the cookies here are so amazing and doughy. 10/10 cookie would walk across 100 countries and swim across Antartica being chased by a sea lion for it!!! The ladies behind the counter were lovely and even offered us water.

Love this little place! The most delicious matcha drinks and coffee, I honestly probably have one every week! Service is always lovely which is such a rarity in London. The baked goods are amazing too. A must visit on Brick Lane

I was reviewing Brick Lane for my blog, popped into Oat for an oat-based latte, and had a slice of amazing cake. It is a nice spot to sit and escape the busy street outside.

Nice coffee shop - very strong coffee! Nice if that's the kind of coffee that you like. Lots of options for food and a good amount of seating. You don't need to have oat milk, they ask if you'd prefer that or cows milk. The toilet is a little odd, because it asks you to not flush toilet paper due to the old plumbing. This should maybe be fixed (if possible).

Such a cute spot! Love the colourful coffee cups. Ended up chatting with a friend for 4h in there – this probably says it all about the place) Small selection of pasties but good variety and tasty! Good coffee and chai latte.

The best treats in brick lane and also the coffee. This lemon cake is 10/10 and the best mocha. They have fresh baked cakes and treats everyday and the staff is really lovely
